Quarter Three

Hello parents, We are well into the third quarter of the school year. In this quarter, we are delving in to spoken Latin.  We've spent the first half of the year laying the foundations and getting the students comfortable with using Latin in the classroom. Now, we are going to use those basics to grow our vocabulary and understanding of the Latin language. Each class, we will be spending 10-20 minutes using only Latin in a story or a vocabulary lesson. Our theme for the quarter is farm life. Your students will be learning Latin versions of songs like Old MacDonald, Mary Had a Little Lamb, and Baa Baa Black Sheep. As far as vocabulary goes, we will be spending some time learning nouns that we find around the farm like animals, plants, etc. However, we are going to focus more on verbs that will allow us to tell stories about the animals on the farm.
